Travel Tips + Tricks

If I had one tip in life it would be to travel, to see the world, to experience differences beyond your imagination.

wishing you all the lovely travel vibes

Here is my complete list of travel rules, highly recommended things, and packing lists:

Daph’s Travel Rules

  • Practice packing a week before the trip, then take half away, then take half away again. You need way less than you think. Carry your bag around like you’re walking 3 miles from the train station to your hotel.

  • Get this TSA Approved Toiletry Bag for easy international security check. After a horribly embarrassing instance over too many liquids at London Heathrow I got this bag to be confident when passing through any security check, anywhere in the world.

A pre-kid rule I have to share with you, even through it no longer applies in my current season of life:

  • Carry-On only. Having one bag to carry on and a personal item will make your travel day smoother with less complications than a checked luggage. I recommend a hard shell rolling carry on with a lock. You will be confident it will fit in any overhead anywhere in the world, your items are protected from left, damage, and wear. We love + use the Monos Carry-On for easy international travel.

The Highly Recommended:

Valor Roller

Use your Valor roller when wanting to feel calm, confident, and grounded. This blend was inspired by the botanicals that Roman soldiers would use in preparation for battle, if it was good enough for them it’ll help you navigate an airport with confidence.

Aroma Ring

A clear nose clip with Lavender or Aromaease to keep your body feeling safe and calm during a chaotic travel day.

CBD Calm Roller

Use your CBD Calm roller on your forearms and chest throughout the travel day as you feel the desire to calm your nervous system. Roll onto palms and take deep breathes with your hands cupped over your nose + mouth like a tent.

CBD Muscle Rub + / or Cool Azul Cream

For achey joints on long travel days, wear comfy clothes so you can easily reach your knees, ankles, shoulders, and wrists. A little goes a long way, rub a small amount onto the area throughout your travel day.

Travel Pillow

Plan for comfort, when traveling overseas a normal travel day can be 14 - 20 hours.

Silk Eye Pillow Mask

Sleep anywhere at anytime with a nice silk eye mask.

Travel / Blanket Scarf

A cozy layer for multiple purposes. A linen scarf is great for coverage into spiritual buildings in the summer, or covering you on a chilly plane ride. A wool blanket scarf is great for travel to colder climates from travel days to museum visits, to looking nice for dinner, a classic large scarf will be your favorite accessory.

International TSA Approved Toiletries Bag

Fit all your toiletries in this bag to get through international security quickly + confidently.

FAQ’S

Can I fly with essential oils in my carry-on?

Yes, you can bring essential oils in a carry on, no problem! Make sure all your bottles fit inside your toiletry bag to keep them together. Make sure you check which countries you are flying into to see what size toiletry bag can come through security. I recommend grabbing the TSA Approved Travel Bag to avoid any trouble on your travels.

How do you travel with a diffuser?

On longer trips, I love bringing a diffuser to bring a little bit of home with us. I really love Baggage&Co’s travel diffuser bag. It has a handle for easy travel and spots for essential oils to be stored securely.

Can you take Ningxia Red in a carry-on?

Yes, you can fly with Ningxia single packets in your carry on. Fill a clear bag plastic bag with ningxia singles, 7-9 singles in a quarter gallon ziplock for one week per person, per carry on. If asked about Ningxia, you can let them know it is a supplement that you need for your well-being.
